St. Paul... Here I Come

My bag is packed and I have all I need to start covering the convention. But as the media get ready to cover the RNC, their attention is elsewhere. Hurricane Gustav is likely to have some effect on the convention's schedule but we won't know exactly what until tomorrow.

I am taking a red eye to Minneapolis-St. Paul tonight and will arrive in the early morning. By then we should have an idea of whether the convention will be postponed or if additional speakers, including the president, will not be coming to St. Paul. Many governors, including Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, have already decided to skip the RNC.

Here's hoping for the best case scenario in the Gulf Coast and a smooth convention in Minnesota.
